This is an absolutely stunning abstract oil painting with ravishing textures and an incredibly rich colour palet of that I'm certain. My only confusion is what connection it has to the title 'Gloucester Cathedral'. I've checked out the facade, the interior, even a satellite view and I still don't get it. The other perplexing aspect is how to hang it; the signature would suggect that it is hung horizontally (as pictured); then again it is wired to hang vertically; but the inscription would suggest vertical the other way up. Quibbles really, in the face of such an impressive artwork.
